4 Yolks is a family and pancake restaurant in Elmwood park. The restaurant has splendid food, commendable service, and soothing decorations.
The restaurant contained a variety of foods which included of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Out of all the options given, I choose to get the banana crepe. The banana crepe contained crepes filled with fresh cut bananas that had apricot glaze on top with whip cream added to tie in all the flavors together. It was my first time trying crepes, and it was delicious! To add more sweetness into the crepes I added maple syrup, which made the whole plate ten times better. I totally recommend any crepe lovers out there to try 4 Yolks’s crepes.
Not only was the food delicious but the service was wonderful. When I went there, I was impressed at how 4 Yolks’s restaurant only had one waitress assisting so many people and still managed to get everyone’s food delivered and satisfied the customers. The best part of the waitress’s service is that she still managed to keep a smile on her face. The services was not the best you can say, but it wasn’t the worst either.
The best thing about 4 Yolks is the decoration! The whole restaurant makes you feel like your at home. The restaurant has some photos of people who work there or of a worker’s family, but it makes you think of your family.
There are pictures of Chicago and Paris that people could look at, in which people could be from there and have memories of anything from there. Overall, all the pictures, little sculptures, and structure of the restaurant makes you feel like you are at home, at least to me.
People say that the food and service was terrible and would never go again to 4 yolks, but I disagree with that statement because I enjoyed every bit of the food and the service.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a yummy breakfast as well as amazing service and home feeling setting.
