The Blossom Cafe: Family orientated restaurant

By Jocelyn Delgado’19

The Blossom Cafe is a family orientated restaurant that holds great service, subtle decor, and exceptional food. They are located in the Norridge neighborhood, near the closest mall location to Chicago.

First of all, the Blossom Cafe is very subtle and modern. The lighting is dimmed throughout the day. In the mornings, the managers open the window shades to let in the natural lighting, making the customers dining experience more welcoming. The music that plays is soft classical music, bringing in more of a classy feeling. From each table around the restaurant, you are able to see straight into the kitchen. Being able to watch the chefs cook is something I, personally, love because it shows you exactly what they are doing and how your food is being prepared.

The service provided by the staff is very pleasant and inviting. Every time you go into the restaurant, no matter how many times you have been there, most of the staff   who you are, making you feel more comfortable.

There is a wide variety of food selections at the cafe, and there are different menus given at different times. In the mornings and afternoon, there is a breakfast and brunch menu. During evening hours, it is the dinner menu. Going to the restaurant, I had tried the Chicken Alfredo. It had the perfect amount of every ingredient: garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, cheese, the fettucini, chicken, and so much more. Usually, when you get a meal like this, you expect just enough for you, but they give you a serving that’s more like for two people. I ended up having leftovers. This was priced at about $13, which is not bad at all.

Although there are some people that say that the restaurant is expensive, it is most definitely worth the money. It is worth it because it gives you the opportunity to take more food at home.
