Tales of Zestiria the X is an amazing anime to watch.  You can genuinely connect with the characters through the amazing art and animation, which is marvelous. The voice of the actors fit perfectly with the characters and the character designs are simply fantastic.

Sorey is a young man who all of his life has lived in a village without humans, but instead lives with spirits called Seraphims. Normal humans can’t see these spirits, but Sorey is special because he can see them for his destiny is to become a Shepherd. A legend from long ago tells that a shepherd allowed all humans to see Seraphim, however, due to  humans taking advantage of the shepherd, he used his vast amount of power to seal away the people’s instinct to see the spirits.  Now Sorey believes that humans can once again reunite with the seraphims,so he travels to the capital to find allies and gain knowledge to start his journey.

The storyline is simple yet engaging. The fighting scenes are sensational and vibrant. I thought it was very inspirational that people used hand to hand combat instead of only using swords to fight. I enjoyed watching it and I really like how Sorey is someone who believes in people.  The show really captured my interest because people can really connect with Sorey as he has to work hard and become someone who can save the people from darkness without falling prey to it himself. While trying to understand what purpose and future will bring, he starts to travel and work  for his dream. I highly enjoyed how he wants to help people and takes the risk of facing danger to help his friends. I think it’s sad that humans can no longer see the spirits and I hope that Sorey’s dream come true, which is for all humans to be able to perceive the spirits. It’s a great anime to watch with friends, family, or by yourself. The show is a must see and I highly recommend it.
