Sip of Hope Coffee Bar: not the best cafe around

Sip of Hope Coffee Bar has unsatisfactory service, average food, and ample decor. As soon as I stood outside of the cafe, I was hit by the smell of freshly brewed coffee. The employees didn’t greet me at all, I was disappointed by the food that I ordered, and the decor will come off as very simple but it truly is impacting.

When we walked into the cafe, we noticed that it was very quiet. The employee was behind the counter, but she was having a conversation with someone other than the customers. The employee didn’t even greet us; although,  we were standing right in front of her. I had to greet her in order for her to acknowledge that she had customers waiting for her.

After I got the employee’s attention, I asked what she would recommend. The employee kindly told me what she believed was the best there. She was very descriptive about what ingredients were inside the foods.

I ordered a macchiato and a vegan peanut butter and granola donut. I really did not like that the macchiato because it was not hot. I also didn’t like the barista’s way of making my beverage. He didn’t take his time with creating the design that he was going to add. The coffee was not sweet enough even after adding a shot of vanilla flavor the macchiato was still not sweet enough. I did not like that the coffee tasted so strong that I was barely able to drink it.

I was incredibly disappointed with my donut especially. After I purchase my donut, my friend told me that he had seen flies on top of it. I was disgusted and told the employee that I didn’t want my donut because there were flies all over it. The employee’s solution was to give me another donut from the same container filled with flies. I didn’t even bother to tell him anything else. I simply didn’t eat the donut.
As I was drinking my beverage, I was able to examine the decor. The decor was very simple but cute. There was a black wall filled with positive messages for those who have suicidal thoughts. I also really liked the that there was a sign with the phrase “It’s okay to not be okay.” Although the decor was simple, it was really encouraging.

A satisfied customer stated, “Delicious Coffee and pastries. Great environment and good service.” I would definitely disagree with this customer. I experienced the worst service that I have gotten in a very long time. I do agree that the environment makes you feel very happy and warm. I would give Sip Of Hope another chance just not anytime soon.
