Pritzker students attended the Homecoming dance on Sept. 26 from 7 to 11 p.m. in the cafeteria to celebrate  the Homecoming game. This year’s Homecoming theme was Masquerade.

Any student got to attend along with  any guests, as long as they had a guest form. The Homecoming dance staff and students got to have a good time. The  ticket costs $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Music started to play not too long after 7 p.m. The cafeteria filled with students who wanted to have a good time with the intention of celebrating the win of the football team. Senior Andrea Johnson said, “It’s our last  year at Pritzker. We have to enjoy our last Homecoming Dance at Pritzker and make the best of it.”

The DJ played all types of music, and students started dancing and  having a good time with friends and significant others.

Students got to nominate the Homecoming court days before the dance. Around 10 p.m., students became anxious waiting to find out about the winners from the Homecoming court. 2015 King and Queen winners were seniors Fernando Medrano and Graciela Valencia.

Everyone clapped and cheered and lighted the slow dance with their phones as the court danced to “Dreaming of You.”

Everyone was either dancing or having a good time. Students spent quality time with their friends and significant others.

Homecoming is a way to release stress and have fun in company of friends and teachers.   Senior Karina Leon stated that she has gone to Homecoming her four years and also added, “I enjoy every Homecoming. I spend a good amount of time with my friends.”
