JoJo’s Milk Bar: Overpriced but worth it

By Jocelyn Delgado ’19

Jojo’s Milk Bar is one of Chicago’s new additions to the variety of overpriced restaurants. Their main attractions are each unique milkshakes. Each milkshake has its own theme and is created dramatically to make the customers want to buy it.

The only problem that is associated with this new and improved restaurant is that it is way too overpriced. Most of their milkshakes are priced at $14 or more. I do not know about anyone else, but I do know that any average customer would think that it is ridiculous to pay that much for a milkshake. However, despite the price, it is worth the experience. I had the Rocky IV milkshake that consists of chocolate, peanut butter, chocolate chip cookies, marshmallows, and banana. With all honesty, it was one of the best milkshakes that I have ever had. It was a little on the sweet side, but it was definitely worth the experience.

Question is whether or not I would continue to go back more than once: definitely not. It was way too expensive. If you have money and are able to afford things like that then I do think that it would be beneficial to go all the time. I don’t think that an average person could spend that much money all the time.
