If you haven’t heard of the hottest game out right now, then you must be living under a rock. If you love addictive shooting games, then go get this free multiplayer game. Fortnite’s goal is to be  the last man or woman standing. The game gives its players a variety of weapons and gives its players a sense of struggle when they try to win!

There are three different modes within the game: solo, duo, and squads. You can either play with your friends or whoever the game pairs you with. As you wait before joining a lobby, you can check out the item shop. The item shop includes character outfits, emotes, which are animations your character can do, and different types of pickaxes, which are used to break down wood, bricks, and metal in the game.

The amount of weapons in this game may not be a huge selection, but the weapons are interesting. Weapons also come with glowing colors. A common weapon is gray, uncommon is green, rare is blue, epic is purple, and legendary is gold. There are a variety of assault rifles, grenade launchers, grenades, pistols, rocket launchers, shotguns, submachine guns,  and sniper rifles. You can find these guns around the map and in chests. You could also pick up guns from the people you kill!

In my opinion, this game is extremely addictive! You can get on Fortnite the minute you get home and when you look at the clock next thing you know it is 10 p.m. Time passes but that is okay because this game is definitely worth your time. Yes, you can play alone and achieve that first solo win that will get your heart pumping but don’t forget about teamwork! Another great way to play is with your friends or even random people you are paired with. You never know who you might meet!

The best feeling is that first solo win when the final board pops up and says you placed first out of the number of people in your lobby. If you can’t get that win, don’t worry it will happen!
