The Whisk is a small restaurant located in West Town. Although the outside of the restaurant may look bland, you are in for a nice surprise as the inside is decorated with all things Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation. Overall, though, going to The Whisk was a pleasant experience as the service was welcoming, the environment was calm and relaxed, and the food was delicious.
As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with a welcoming smile. Once we were seated, the waiter came and made sure we were comfortable. He gave us the menu and assured us that we were not being rushed. This made my sister and I feel better as we were able to comfortably scan the menu. After we placed our ordered, my sister wanted to switch her order, and the waitress was very accomodating. To top it off, the food was delivered to us pretty quickly, making my experience even better.
The Whisk had a very calming and relaxed environment. At the time I went, there was little to no customers, so there was no rush to eat. The restaurant also was not too loud or too quiet. It was the perfect volume and warmth. The restaurant itself was also unique as it was decorated with Ron Swanson picture frames as well as breakfast quotes. Although the restaurant had limited seating, there was enough space between each table, so it was comfortable.
The restaurant also offered a variety of food with its breakfast and lunch menus. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. Although my fries were a bit too salty, the sandwich made up for it. On top of the chicken sandwich, I also ordered a Chicken Caesar salad. I am not one to ever order salads; however, The Whisk’s salad was very appetizing with its delicious chicken and dressing.
Some may argue that the wait time for The Whisk is too long. Since I visited in the afternoon instead of the morning, I can only speak for the afternoon service. The service in the afternoon was very quick, and I had no wait time. Although wait times may be frustrating, I would say to give The Whisk a shot regardless and visit in the afternoon to avoid long lines.
