Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa hits audiences with this new, horrifying, dramatic show that is derived from the popular Archie comics. In “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” 15-year-old Sabrina, soon to be 16, has to decide between the witch world of her family or the normal, human world of her friends.

In the series, Sabrina Spellman, played by Kiernan Shipka, is the main character of the show. Sabrina is half witch and half mortal, stuck in the middle of two different worlds. Keeping a balance in these contrasting worlds is difficult for Sabrina,  especially when her powers are out of control. This creates some danger to her loved ones.

The series takes place in a developed setting. The show did an amazing job making the audiences familiar with the setting. The first episode gives audiences an insight on the main characters who make Sabrina have a difficult time deciding between the witch world, which is where Sabrina was raised, and the mortal world.

Additionally, the director did a great job perfectly completing the cast of this show. In the series, every single one of the characters adds their own little spark. Personally, my favorite character is Harvey Kinkle, played by Ross Lynch, who is Sabrina’s mortal boyfriend.  Besides being Sabrina’s boyfriend, Harvey, who has the mind of a politician, is a young male in the small town of Greendale.

Another character that I found interesting was Sabrina’s witch aunt: aunt Hilda, played by Lucy Davis. Aunt Hilda is the nicest aunt out of both of Sabrina’s aunts. Although, Hilda’s mother-raising-features have a much more tougher side. Hilda is a healer witch, she is also, as previously stated, very friendly, unless you mess with her close ones or with herself.

On the other hand, many viewers state that the show has a terrible, non-tolerable plot line, but I disagree with this. If you are a fond of the “Riverdale” T.V. show or of dramatic shows that include magic, “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” is an interesting show for you to watch.
